Skydiving on Hainan Island

Currently, there are four skydiving bases on Hainan Island: Ledong, Haitang Bay Sanya, Wanning, and Qionghai Boao.

Ledong Base Skydiving Package (approximately 1.5 hours’ drive from downtown Sanya):

• Skydive with no video: CNY2880/person, deposit CNY800
• Skydive with manual shooting by the instructor: CNY3680/person, deposit CNY1000
• Skydive with third-party video shooting: CNY4580/person, deposit CNY1200
• Skydive with manual shooting by the instructor and a third party: CNY5280/person, deposit CNY1400

Haitang Bay Sanya Base Skydiving Package by Helicopter

• Skydive with shooting by the instructor: CNY5299/person, deposit CNY1150
• Skydive with shooting by the instructor and a third party: CNY6999/person, deposit CNY1400
• Total 25 minutes experience including 50 seconds free fall, 3-5 minutes jump sack.

Wanning Base Skydiving Package (around 1.5 hours drive from Sanya)

• Skydive with shooting by the instructor: CNY3980/person, deposit CNY1400
• Skydive with shooting by the instructor and a third party: CNY5680/person, deposit CNY2400

Boao Qionghai Hainan Base Skydiving Package (1 hour drive from Haikou, 2 hours from Sanya)

• CNY2880 (no video), deposit CNY1100
• CNY3780 (manual shooting by instructor), deposit CNY1400
• CNY4680 (manual shooting by instructor and a third party), deposit CNY1800

General Rules & Regulations: 

• Please bring the original document to the base.
• Individuals who have undergone major surgery within the last six months and pregnant women are not allowed.
• Avoid alcohol consumption one day before the dive.
• Avoid wearing skirts, high heels, and slippers. Sports or leisure attire is recommended.
• Do not bring valuables.
• Ensure a good night’s sleep and have a normal breakfast.
• Due to air traffic control and weather conditions, please keep your schedule flexible.
• Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to the base, but they are not permitted for skydiving.
• Children over 120cm tall or weighing more than 50kg are accepted for skydiving.
• Weight limit: 90kg, with extra charges for overweight. Maximum weight is 115KG.
• Age limit: 6-70.

Questions on Skydiving on Hainan Island

• What information is required?
  Name, phone number, sex, age, height, and weight
• Is reservation necessary?
  Yes, all bookings require a reservation 48 hours in advance, subject to availability, weather conditions, and air traffic control.
• What is the procedure?
  Registration, signing agreements, paying the balance, storing personal belongings, putting on equipment, watching a training video with your instructor, and following instructions.
• Do I dive alone? 
  No, there is always an authorized instructor with you.
• Does my instructor speak English? 
  Yes, but only at Ledong Base and Boao Base. 
• How long does the whole procedure take? 
  It takes around 2-3 hours, including preparation and training time.
• From what height do I dive? 
  Approximately 4000 meters.
• Can my friend/loved one accompany me on the plane but not skydive?
  Yes, the cost is the same.
• What about deposit and payment? 
  A deposit is required once the booking is confirmed. The balance can be paid at the base on the day using your credit card, WeChat, or Alipay.
• What if I can’t make it due to personal reasons? 
  The deposit is non-refundable unless cancellation is advised 72 hours in advance, with a 20% deduction as a service fee.
• What if I can’t make it due to weather or air traffic control? 
  The exact time will be confirmed one day in advance for the next day. If not possible, the base will reschedule for you, or you will receive a full refund.
• Do I get a refund if I am too scared to skydive after boarding the plane?
  No, refunds are not provided.
