Several diving spots are available in Sanya, including Yalong Bay and Wuzhizhou Islet. However, many companies primarily offer group tours of subpar quality. Some resorts allow guests to participate in scuba diving activities through their water sports centers located on the hotel beach. These centers are often operated by independent diving companies.

Sanya PADI Open Water Dive Package:
Cost:
- CNY1180/person for 2 dives/day, with a maximum of 4 divers per group accompanied by one instructor, on Wuzhizhou Islet for Fenjiezhou. The package includes boat transfers and a lunch box.
- CNY1480/person for 2 dives/day, with a maximum of 2 divers per group accompanied by one instructor, on Wuzhizhou Islet for Fenjiezhou. The package includes boat transfers and a lunch box.
- CNY1880/person for 2 dives/day with a private instructor on Wuzhizhou Islet for Fenjiezhou. The package includes boat transfers and a lunch box.
Round-trip transfers are included for divers staying in Haitang Bay only. Divers staying outside Haitang Bay must arrange their transportation to Wuzhizhou Islet or book a transfer package with the Sunny Hainan Team.

Q: Can I join the open water diving package as a beginner?
A: No, this package is for certified divers including PADI CMAS, SSI, and SDI. For non-certified divers, please check the Sanya scuba diving package for beginners
Q: Should I make a reservation in advance or I can show up?
A: Reservation is requested for all bookings, please make a reservation at least 48 hours with the Sunny Hainan Team by phone call or WeChat at 1380 7535 200.
Q: What shall I bring with me?
A: Swimming wear, sun lotion, water, towels, and clothes to change after scuba diving.
Q: What to do as I don’t speak Chinese?
A: An english-speaking instructor is available, subject to final confirmation due to limited availability.
Q: Where shall I stay for diving for this diving package?
A: Wuzhizhou Islet is in Haitang Bay, so the best is to stay in hotels on Haitang Bay. For budget accommodations, we would recommend Sunny Sanya Destination Hotel Haitang Bay run by Sunny Hainan Team. Fenjiezhou is about 1-hour drive from Haitang Bay.
