If you wish to have a dry and sunny holiday, then October till March is good time. This is also the high season of Sanya Hainan Island.

If you are looking for a quite holiday at the best possible rates despite the strong sunshine, then April till September is good time to make holidays in Sanya. Jul, August, September is raining season, but the tropical showers won’t bother too much.

Time No to visit Sanya:

Time NOT to make holiday in Sanya Hainan Island is Chinese New Year which falls on different days according to China Lunar Calendar, normally late Jan to early Feb. All the hotels will be fully booked and very crowded, prices are 3-10 times more. Sometimes you have to queue a long time to get seated for breakfast. And no cheap flights available. Then you have to pay around USD700 for round trip Beijing-Sanya. While normally you could get a good rate of USD450 per person Beijing-Sanya round trip. Though there are more flights Shanghai-Sanya, but still very expensive at USD600 for round trip. But after or before Chinese New Year, the price is around USD350/person for round trip.

So with the above information, you know when is the best time to make your holiday in Sanya, and when you should not come to Sanya.
