From December 2 to 6, 2024, the Asian Seed Conference will be held in Sanya, with the theme “Rising Tide in the Asia-Pacific: The Glory of Seed Industry.” This marks the first time in ten years that the Asian Seed Conference is being hosted in China.
The 2024 Asian Seed Conference will serve as an excellent platform for seed industry professionals from various countries to connect, develop business, and learn about the latest industry trends. In addition to the opening ceremony and press conference, there will be a series of activities including closed-door meetings, professional committee meetings, a forum on investment opportunities in China’s seed industry, a forum celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Asia-Pacific Seed Association, trade negotiations, and exhibitions. During the conference, there will also be organized visits for attendees to smart agriculture demonstration bases, the South Breeding Industry CRO laboratory, the National Modern Agricultural Industry Park, the Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Production Promotion Center, the Batou South Breeding Public Experiment Base, the Sanya Deep Sea Biological Resources Research Center, and visits to well-known seed companies, helping participants better understand the construction of the “South Breeding Silicon Valley.”
As of now, a total of 1,524 participants from 52 countries and regions have registered for the 2024 Asian Seed Conference, setting a new record for attendance at this event. Among them, there are 467 guests from China and 1,057 foreign guests. Foreign guests make up nearly 70% of the total, reflecting the conference’s international nature and the strong appeal of the Chinese seed market to foreign enterprises.
