Steps to Obtain a Temporary Driving Permit in Hainan

Send a copy of your passport and valid driving license to our email (holiday@sunnyhainan.com). We will translate your driving license into Chinese for a fee of CNY 100, then send you a stamped copy.
License Acquisition after your arrival: Bring your passport, drive license, the translation, the translation compnay license copy with a company stamp and visit a police office in Sanya or Haikou to obtain your temporary driving permit. This process usually takes 1-2 hours including a photo taking (CNY20/person). The cost is CNY10 to get your temporary license. The license is valid for 90 days.
