You can take a bus from Sanya Bus Station (三亚汽车总站) located on Jiefang Road to Baoting or Wuzhishan, passing the main gate of Binglanggu. Taxis are also available directly from the Sanya area to Binglanggu.

The origin of the Dan Jia can be traced back to the Qin Dynasty when their ancestors, primarily from Fujian and Guangdong provinces, contended with the winds.

This significant tourist spot comprises three parts: Li Village, Miao Village, and Tropical Rainforest. Binglang, meaning Areca, is a tropical plant, while Gu means Valley. Binglanggu is a blend of local village life and artificial development. It is one of Hainan’s most important tourist attractions and ranks among its top ten scenic spots. Visitors can immerse themselves in the culture of the Miao and Li ethnic groups through shows, cuisine, authentic houses, exhibitions, and handicrafts. A magnificent show depicting local Li and Miao life is a highlight, with most dancers being local villagers, including elderly grandmothers over 70 years old.
The Areca Valley of Hainan’s Ganza Ridge Primitive Culture, known as ‘Bing Lang Gu’, is where Binglanggu is located. Situated on the border of Sanya City and Baoting County, approximately 28 kilometers from Sanya, it covers an area of 369 mu (24.6 hectares). The name Binglanggu derives from its formation—a valley several kilometers long, adorned with thousands of Areca palms and lush jungle on both slopes.
